We have decided to use our news stories to have a ‘Spotlight’ brief interview with people in the company. Our first being Stan Smith who is a Project manager at Timbateq. Stan has recently passed his Health and Safety for Managers and Professionals qualification renewal and supports our clients with the full turnkey service through to the finished product.
How long have you worked at Timbateq? 3 yrs
What three words best describe you? Ambitious, Positive, Practical.
What do you enjoy most about your job? Variety of work.
What has been the proudest moment at Timbateq? Project managing a high end and prestigious project – Shard Place. Over 800 items of joinery manufactured, delivered on time and on budget
What are the current challenges you face and how do you overcome them? Juggling a variety of projects and making sure they are all complete on time as manufacture lead times seem to becoming shorter. Strategic planning from the start of every project and managing my clients.
Outside of Timbateq, what keeps you busy? Hobbies include walking, cycling and watching rugby
And finally, an interesting fact about you? I nearly lost a finger whilst travelling in the Amazon jungle. I badly cut my finger and it was lucky there was an Australian nurse also travelling who stitched my finger whilst in the jungle. Oh and my name is Richard.
